Term: Somatic

A specific component that is all about gesture. Either hand movements, stance, or anything that connects you to a magical core or locus of ki. You can use this component while holding something in your hand, but not if you are Restrained or otherwise unable to use your hands (like if you've been snapped in Irons).

Because of the fluidity and form needed for these gestures, you cannot use the Somatic component of abilities stealthily, and must make the necessary checks or use the necessary feats.
