A larger-than-life human from Melesh, Anvil, famous for his inquisitive mind and epic feats of strength.
Vortun Skygarn (a.k.a. Anvil-Breaker)
Vortun grew up in the settlement of Yure in Melesh, Anvil - a town situated on the slow, meandering River Antler and well known for it's excellent blacksmiths and high quality mackerel steel knives.
He was famous in the region for his huge bodily frame and displays of incredible strength that he flaunted at performances in local festivals.
Mental characteristics
Education
His father taught him the smithing trade and took him on as an apprentice from a very young age. He absorbed every scrap of information he was taught and started to experiment on his own, learning how things worked by breaking them and then figuring out how to fix them again.
Employment
He was a blacksmith in the Aldsund District of Melesh ever since he could hold a hammer. As he out-grew his father's forge, he built his own one that he could stand up in, with a bigger fire, bigger anvil and better tools. He was known throughout the lands as the best blacksmith in Melesh.
Accomplishments & Achievements
He had put up with the cramped space in his father's forge for many years, grateful to make use of the equipment even though he had to stoop terribly in order to use anything. He knew he'd truly out grown the forge when he was working on a stubborn scrap of metal and hit it so hard that the horn of the anvil beneath bent downwards, rendering it useless. Since then he was known as Vortun Anvil-Breaker, and toured festivals across Melesh to show off his feats of strength.
He had the honour of being invited to smash the giant anvil cake made by Bramble Street Bakery which was twice the size of a standard blacksmith's anvil. To serve it, they insisted that it was smashed in front of the crowd so that everyone got a piece!
