Mad Jack's Mine
An abandoned and haunted section of the mines in The Brass Bowl of Tentotta.
A section of the mohrrim mines in The Brass Bowl of Tentotta was closed after 151 years of operation due to many fatal accidents that deemed this area unsafe.
Rumours say that this mine is haunted by the ghost of Little Mad Jack, a small child who was pushed in front of a cart over 100 years ago. Locals claim that the mine is haunted and attribute the "accidents" to Jack, saying that he seeks revenge against the miners who caused his death. This section of the mine has been closed since Seconday 9th Fireturn 447 2A and has now come to be known as Mad Jack's Mine - it's completely abandoned.
The Disappearance of Little Mad Jack
Little Mad Jack goes down the mines,
He bumbles along and nobody minds
The songs that he sings are all in a rhyme
And Little Mad Jack gets covered in grime.
Little Mad Jack only has half a mind,
And got in the way of a cart down the mine,
It dragged him right down and buggered his spine
And Little Mad Jack was late for tea time.
Now Little Jack's mum, just can't stop cryin',
She's completely convinced that the Miners are lyin'.
"That Sapper named Jasper, he drinks loads of wine,
He's had it in for my Jack since the day he turned nine!"
Well witnesses heard but a thump and a whine
On the day of the tragic events in the mine,
So Jasper walked free of this terrible crime
(But not without paying a big drinking fine).
Little Mad Jack, now a ghost in the mines,
Has worked this descent to his deadly design,
He rigged up a tripwire made out of old twine
And has killed enough folk to last a lifetime.
Purpose / Function
The resources in this area were nearly exhausted before the mines were deemed unsafe, leaving only a few uncovered pockets of mohrrim crystals deep in the lower mines.
Alterations
Access to this section of the mines is closed off with sturdy wooden barricades and a sign warning people not to proceed.
Some trinkets and notes lay at the foot of the sign. Most were left by families who lost their sons in the mine, but others have left children's toys as a peace offering in the hopes that Little Mad Jack will be at peace.
