The Daelin Courts have always had a tenuous relationship with each other. One day, tensions can be extremely high, whilst the next day the Courts can act almost like family. So tenuous is their relationship between each other that the slightest phrase or action can cause arguments and infighting.

For three Courts in Elryn, who make their homes in close proximity with each other, these tensions are more often than not extremely high. Out of all of the Courts, these three have the most infighting. The only time that another Court has escalated to killing other Daelin was when the Roliege Court attacked the Je’nasie.

The Chêvro Court - very powerful warriors and one of the longest standing Courts. They live in the eastern parts of the Adoriege Woods in Elryn.

The Firmyn Court - scholars, for the most part. Though do not underestimate their strength which lies in their arcanists. They live in the north west of the Adoriege Woods.

The Mag’lior Court - another Court filled with warriors, though their prowess does not quite live up to that of the Chêvro Court. They live in the southern parts of the Adoriege Woods.

Being so close to each other, it made traversing the Adoriege Woods very difficult, especially if one wanted to avoid inter Court politics. On numerous occasions, members of the Firmyn Court and the Chêvro Court would be targeted whilst travelling outside of their homelands by the Mag’lior Court (the latter of whom sought to gain more of a foothold in the Adoriege Woods and more sway between the other Courts in Ma’rune).

Eventually, the Chêvro Court grew tired of their antics. They began to fight back. Traps were positioned in strategic locations throughout the Adoriege Woods, such as places close to the borders of the Chêvro Court homeland and the Mag’lior Court homeland, or along common trade routes. However, this meant that others were caught in the crossfire. The Firmyn Court ended up with the most casualties, but they were not the only ones. Humans and beastfolk were also caught up in these traps.

The Mag’lior pleaded with the other Courts that lived outside of the Adoriege Woods. They argued that, should this infighting continue, the humans might take action against the daelin. Their cries were answered and the other Courts called a Grand Assembly. All daelin Courts were required to attend.

Within this Grand Assembly, the Chêvro, Mag’lior and Firmyn argued their points in front of their peers. The assembly lasted for two weeks before a verdict was reached and the Courts decided to draft a treaty - known to this day as the ‘Treatise of Adoriege’. Although initially applied to the Courts in the Adoriege Woods, the terms of the treaty have since expanded to include other Courts and even humans or beastfolk.

The terms laid out in the Treatise of Adoriege stated that conflicts between the Courts must be resolved through an assembly. The Courts at odds with each other must not engage with each other outside of the assembly until the point at which the conflict is resolved. If a conflict cannot be resolved in a normal assembly, a Grand Assembly must be called and the conflict must be laid out in front of all daelin Courts. The decision made at an assembly is final. If a Court is found to be in breach of the Treatise of Adoriege, then the other Courts are obligated to step in.
