Geography
The twin, snow-capped, mountaintops of Nyara's Peaks are the cynosure of eyes for miles in all directions. The tallest mountains in southeastern Anhara, Nyara's Peaks are situated on the eastern shore of
Lake Oeis, and much of the ruins of
Old Oeis rest on its western face. There, the towering statue of Vestria stands halfway up the mountain, and the ruins of many crumbling buildings lie scattered around the base.
To the east of the twin mountains is the
Nyara River, formed as the confluence of runoff and streams emanating from the mountains themselves. Flowing east, this river runs through the Eastmarches, and its shores feature the
House Thewisy seat of
Somae as well as
Imgreshold, the current seat of
House Caersea, before terminating in the
Narrow Sea.
