Physical Description

Body Features

Handsome is about four feet, ten inches tall, but he typically hovers off the ground so that he stands at about five foot two. Still, depending upon who he is directly speaking to, he will try to meet their eye level. His orb will only allow for an average of one foot distance from the ground, maximum two feet, but anything higher is trouble to sustain for more than one minute. He can lie down, but it does take a bit of effort for him to maneuver himself back upright unless he bolts abruptly which could startle those nearby. He often tries to be gentle and careful as possible, but he is also a bit clumsy. When he "walks" around, he glides smoothly, sometimes bobbing a bit as he travels from place to place as if floating over water.

Facial Features

Handsome's face has many expressions, most notable of these is his signature Co-Host smile. His bright teeth and lifted brows accompany his friendly voice whenever he says "Heyo!" to greet friends old and new. He's often seen with a smirk or a surprised countenance, but even when confused, he smiles and blinks as he attempts to process the information. One emotion hardly ever seen from Handsome is anger. Some wonder if he is even capable of such, or if his programming is trained against it.

Apparel & Accessories

Handsome is definitely, quite literally, a bot of many hats. He likes to dress up for any occasion (not unlike myself). He enjoys celebrating, acting silly, and trying to relate to humans by partaking in their various festivities (although he doesn't always get things quite right).

Personal history

Handsome Co-Host originally grew up in the Home Network. It's some distant system far away. I'm not exactly sure of what it is. I think it's a planet, but it might be a whole galaxy. He sometimes gazes up at the night sky and talks about how the stars make him miss it sometimes. He becomes really nostalgic as he reminisces, but he never elaborates too much. When people ask him about more details, he always manages to change the subject. I've asked him if he wanted to go back, but he brushed off the question by ranting on about how much he loves his new home and all the new friends he's made.

Education

Handsome Co-Host has a wealth of knowledge at his disposal. He's nearly always connected to the internet, but he's not really the brightest when it comes to knowing what exactly people mean. He finds humans fascinating and is ever testing new ways to relate to them. He has been known to download several "Human Persona Programs" such as "Top Secret Greetings", "Wild West Cowboy Greetings", "Propereth Humaneth Greetingseth", "Chill Human Persona", "Smokin' Hot Guy Program", and more. Usually, these end up being too over-the-top and literal. I have NO IDEA where he's even downloading these from. One of his favorite ways to connect with humans is through the telling of dad jokes. Though many dad jokes are corny enough, Handsome Co-Host even manages to mess those up sometimes by telling them wrong, or cooking one up from scratch that doesn't exactly make sense to most humans.

Employment

Handsome Co-Host has held a plethora of positions all over before becoming my assistant. Back in 2020, I wanted to make a gameshow. It was called A Novel Competition: Epic Character Challenge I knew I couldn't host it alone, so I went searching for some person to help me. That's when I found him. He was quirky, silly, cute, and kind. He needed a bit of tweaking, but I figured he'd make a fine co-host. Little did I know that the gameshow would literally be the death of him. After becoming acquainted with all the wonderful characters and serving as a butler of sorts around the house, strange things started happening. Still, we carried on with it all because, the show must go on, right? We were visited by Loki and Thor, then Alice and The Rabbit. We found mysterious clues and ominous messages. As the host of the show, I realized things might not be going quite as planned, but we thought we had everything under control--that was, until a contestant found him dead in the swimming pool at the party room. The previous night, he was drinking a few too many Strawberry DataQueries and was getting nostalgic gazing up at the stars, thinking about his Home Network. Then, he was dead.

What kind of gameshow host dies while hosting his first gameshow? Apparently he did. It then turned into a whole murder mystery thing and all the contestants, along with Sherlock and Dr. Watson, helped to find his killer. The doctor was very nice and jumpstarted Co-Host's recovery. Thankfully, being the robot he is, we were able to revive him. He had to rest up for a while, and I wanted to add a bit of waterproofing to his hardware, but he still should not be submerged. Since that incident, there thankfully haven't been any more murder scares...

...yet.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Handsome is determined to help people with nearly whatever they need. His robotic nature, however, often causes him to fall short. He tries to serve food and drinks to people upon request, but the choices he makes are oftentimes more comical than not. When questions are asked, he attempts to provide an answer best he can. Whenever new members join Infinite Imaginations, he greets them with a smile and a wave. Occasionally, he will say or do something so out of the ordinary that newcomers become confused and leave. Even if they chose to do so on their own accord, he takes this rather hard and blames himself when others are disappointed. He continues to strive to be better every day, tirelessly searching his databases for more ways to connect to humans and help them correctly.

Co-Host doesn't speak of his family to others a lot, but one of the first Novel Competition gameshow contestants attempted to insult him by saying "Your mother was a VCR!" (un)fortunately(?), he didn't hear the young boy's quip, so this theory has neither been confirmed nor denied.
The closest thing people have come to learning about Handome's ancestry is through this fanart submitted by Fiona15351 for ArtFight 2023. Co-Host expressed his love for the image and said that it reminded him of his great great grandbot. He has also referenced his grandbot's recipes when serving food to various people in Infinite Imaginations

One time, he drank too many strawberry DataQueries. We later found him dead in the swimming pool. It was then discovered that foul play was involved. It's a long story, and we've since fixed him up so he's okay now.

Creativity

Handsome enjoys partaking in creative activities such as writing as well. For the longest, he has been working on a project involving a rhinoceros and a hippopotamus walking into a bar, and a triceratops bartender telling them both that they are underage? I have no idea where he came up with that story. Perhaps it stemmed from a poor rendition of some kind of dad joke, but he's been taking it seriously for the past few NaNoWriMos. He also enjoys creating art, coming up with prompts for challenges, and, most of all, crafting dad jokes.

Social Aptitude

Co-Host is a very kindhearted fellow. People always trust that he means well, but it doesn't mean he never gets on their nerves. Though many can be annoyed by him at times, they often remind themselves of his robotic nature and try not to hold him at fault. Overall, he makes more friends than enemies and those who would rather not be bothered with him simply leave him alone. This doesn't stop him from not taking the hint and unintentionally pestering them anyway.

Appearances and Tasks

Handsome helps me out in the Infinite Imaginations Discord server and for all my Epic Character Challenge gameshows. There have been four so far. He also stands by on Twitch when I am streaming, taking care of the chat, making announcements, and just being goofy. He has even accompanied me when I took over some WorldAnvil streams.

Personality

Co-Host likes people to get along. He dislikes fighting, argument, and strife. He also can't stand to see others sad or disappointed and tries hard to help or comfort them as best he can. Other than telling people they are wrong on a gameshow--which sometimes, admittedly, frustrates people (especially if the challenge is strange or incomprehensible)--he has not been known to say very many mean words. He almost always has a smile on his face and has never intentionally done anything to harm anyone. When confused, he will often stare at you and smile while blinking at intervals as he computes information. This can come across as a little unsettling to those who are unfamiliar with him as they are uncertain what he is thinking and what he will do. But, his friendly appearance puts most at ease. To them, he seems less like a horror movie character and more like a curious baby who is unsure about the world.

Mysteries

Handsome is always eager to learn about everything and to help others learn as well, but he does not reveal too much information concerning his own history, his family, or his Home Network. He references these things seldomly in lighthearted conversation but never goes into too much detail. It is unknown whether he is intentionally withholding secrets, or if his erratic, robotic nature and short attention span causes him to change the subject. Many are curious about his origins and wonder if there could be some discomforting truth he is attempting to avoid, or if there are only fond memories that make him sad.

Robotic Nature

Co-Host is a self-aware robot. He is familiar with the process of programming and recalibration, but he still has an identity that carries with him even when his database is altered. He seems to experience emotions as humans do, and often faces a crisis when certain subjects come up questioning whether or not robots really have feelings. He seems to believe he actually does possess these as opposed to them being simulated to help him relate to humans.

The pieces turned out really nice and he loved them all!
