There is no comparable advancment nor in medicine or sciene that claim such an impact on Navurian society as the Kinetical Potion. While the detailed workings are still a mystery, everyone knows that they were the cure for the
Sparkle Spore outbreak, which brought Navurian civilization to the brink of extinction. Gladly the healer-priests of the
Everlight Temple were able to combine their advancements in the
Art of Kinetics with the natural healing abilities of the Navurian Jungles.
The result of this combination were the so-called Kinetical Potions, a liquid mix of unknown ingredients that had to be drunk by the patient only for the healer to manually control the flow of the medicine to eliminate the contagious spores within the body.
Process of Healing
Though the Kinetical Potions marked the beginning of controlling the outbreak it took several months to restore basic infrastructure and daily life, as the process of healing normally takes one to two weeks as well as several dose of Kinetical Potions.
Sadly the Kinetical Potions weren't able to give an immunity to the illness, and a quick cure was also just a dream.
In the first weeks after consuming the potion the host would feel a tingling sensation around the swelling which some people give an scratch open their bruises. Today you can still see who give in and did that as it resulted in clearly visible scars. A dusty substance was secreted out of the swellings, looking like spores itself. These dust is said to be highly infectious and therefore even patient in the curing process had to be isolated in jail-like cells, known as Spore Pits.
Life still was miserable, yet better than a horrendous death. And so in week two after consumption things started to get better for the patients as contact to other humans was allowed and the swellings were mostly gone as well as the high infectious dust. Some patients mentioned a high dizziness during the night as well as a form of paranoia and hallucinations, yet reports seem to differ on the latter one.
