Conditions

As a member of the faculty of the University of Lille, you are entitled to an apartment in one of the buildings located inside the walls of the university so long as you stay employed by the university.
In exchange for getting one of the apartment, you only have to relinquish part of your salary.
The quality and size of the apartment depends on your seniority and the quality of your research, not on how much you are willing to pay for it—with the quality increased especially with promotion to Masters of Conferences then to Professor status.

Furniture

The apartments are furnished. Standard apartments for faculty members (whether they live alone or as a couple) contain:

A bedroom, with a bed, a bedside table, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers.

A kitchen with cabinets, a runic cooling cupboard, and a runic firing plate.

A dining room with a small dinning table and a few bookshelves.

A bathroom, with toilets, a sink, a storing cupboard, and a bath.

Extra rooms

No offices or guest rooms
You are expected to do your work in your official office instead of at home to stay available to your students and colleagues. A receiving room can be booked when guests are visiting.

Children's bedrooms
If you have children or when you will have them, you will be entitled to have one and only one additional bedroom regardless of how many children you have.

Extra rooms
Professors can get extra rooms depending on their exact prestige level: an extra room they can use as an office, extra bedrooms to give each child their own, or a living room.
