Chandralee Tradition / Ritual in The Legends of Mernac | World Anvil

Chandralee

Overview

Rumor
Rumor has suggested that "Chandralee" is the name of the World Siberlee and Barak came from when they were still Mortal.

A univesal day of celebration observed by almost all who were born with the gift of speech.   It is quite important to note that this heavenly occurfance is observed quite differently by each of the 20 Races. In addition to being impetus for some of Mernac's most extravagant festivals and rituals, it is first and foremost known to be a significant astralogical event.   From the studies of Norash Sunscryer in the Ancient Scroll, Time and the Mernacian Calendar, Chandralee is the inconsistant re-occuring celestrial condition where both of Mernac's Moon's are full.

Chandralee

The rare time that both moons are full on the same night is known as Chandralee and is thought by most to be a very sacred night, as this is the time that the Mothers Mothers may directly leave the Heavens and visit Mernac. Many mystical and wonderful things happen during Chandralee and the eve of Chandralee. Wth Araf having such an inconsistent time from waxing and waning Chandralee may occur every few Seasons or every few decades. In some cases, the occurrence may be centuries apart. Conversely, when both moons are completely waned (neither moon shows in the sky) it is known as Voidis. This is almost always a bad omen and often signifies the beginnings of terrible events about to happen.

Alas, the rest of this tale is...

Secret
But it has been heard that a Scribe may soon finish the tale... the truth of the matter is - if you were not simply a Commoner and were registered profession on Mernac or any battle Class you would be able to read the Scribe's work in progress right now.
It is here... just a little invisible to those who are not yet a patron to one of Mernac's guilds (join).
In some cases, the entire tale may not yet be written. In those cases, The Tale may be looking for a new Adventurer who Journals or Scribe to tell the tale. Could this be you?
