Story Types
In the world of Mernac there are a number of Story Types. This is how we classify and build our world. This article will define the types of stories and articles you may find and what we call them.
Any future Open Source Creativity worlds will be built using the same concept - all content branches out from one single written story or concept - e.g. The Initial Seed. The person/s who writes this Initial Seed is considered the prime creator and Founder of the world. In the case of Mernac, the Founder is Rick Merriman who often goes by the Internet and gmain handles; Arumbus, Grumby, or Onas Brushstroke.
How Stories Start:
It is important to note (especially if you would like to submit your writing to this growing world) that in Mernac, any story or article may not be written unless it has first been referenced in a previous story or content (art, stat block, game campaign, etc). Meaning that all the stories, articles, maps, art, and any other elements began from one single story or concept. We call this:The Initial Seed
In Mernac's case The Initial Seed is: The Mothers and the Fathers TidbitThe idea and begiining of Mernac started with an Idea for this Pantheon in the 1970's when the founder Rick Merriman took a high school creative writing class when he lived in Bangkok Thailand. He did little with it until the late 1980s when wrote Goldenfur and a few other stories in the same world.
Seed
In all the front-end (everything in not in the "About" Main category) content in Mernac you will see the classification "Seed". This references the first place the content you are reading, viewing, or playing was first mentioned or referenced.Sapling
