Plains Hopper
These large rodent survive off scavenging dead corpses for soft bits of meat, having no teeth other than their large incensors to chew with.
Basic Information
Anatomy
With two massive backlegs the Plains Hopper can both travel and great speeds and jump great distances in times of distress. Due to the smaller size of its forelimbs, they are rarely used for more than grasping small objects or holding food still. They have a hidden pouch on their stomach that can hold up to a days worth of food.
Ecology and Habitats
Preferring to live in large open spaces the Plains Hopper does not seem to claim any territory living a more nomadic life.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They eat carrion and zag-zag roots.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Though their eyesight is less than that of an average person they have an extremely acute sense of smell.
(They can smell carrion up to 2 regions away, with training.)
