OUR Summer Camp 2021 Worldbuilding Pledge Document
Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?
The Space Opera Pirate Collab Thingy (still working on a title 'XD) is a group effort between multiple authors who are also working on their own individual projects for NaNoWriMo's and WorldAnvil's summer camps. That means that this world is most likely not a main focus for any of the tallented CollabMasters, but we will work hard to help to materialize the ideas that have been simmering in our brains for months into an interesting and successful tangible concept. Please do check out each of the CollabMastersand follow their other projects and worlds as well.What world are you all working on?
As stated above, we will all be devoted to multiple works this summer, and, therefore, will be super busy. Even still, we do not want to neglect our Space Opera Pirate Collab Thingy, so we are working out an awesome strategy to get things done while not putting too much pressure on any one of us.Which area of the world are you all working on?
We have decided to wait for the prompts and float towards whatever our brains inspire us to head for. We have a lot in our brains, and even some things we have discussed, but we are itching to materialize it all and put pen to paper-- or, you know, fingers to keyboard, and actually have some nice things to reference in WorldAnvil for the world to see what we're working on! This includes everything from planets to ships to characters to magic laws and tech devices. We're even open to the possibility that the awesome WA crew will introduce a prompt that gets us thinking about something we haven't even considered yet!How much are you all aiming to complete?
Between all of the multi-talented CollabMasters, we are shooting for the diamond, dividing the workload amongst ourselves by delegating a certain amount of articles to each author in a fun and exciting way. The plan is, as the prompts are revealed every interval, each of the CollabMasters will pick one that they would like to work on and enter into the challenge. If more than one author has an idea for a single prompt, that's okay! Worldbuilding is what it's all about after all. Our community will vote on the completed articles and decide which one (if any) should be submitted into the Summer Camp Challenge. Remember, the primary goal here is not to win the challenge (but if any of the articles do, that would be super great!) we are mainly striving to flesh out this awesome concept, and what better motivation for us all than Summer Camps!?When will you all write?
We all have different times and schedules, but we plan to do some fun sprints and write-in sessions together.Who is your support network?
