Headteacher
Taru International Academy is led by a Headteacher, who is responsible for employing and managing teachers, balancing the whims of political interest towards (and against) the academy and ensuring students access a fully comprehensible education and are well safeguarded. The headteacher's role requires them to work especially closely with the Masters, Head of Departments, Heads of School Clans, and Club Directors.
Many of the teachers at the academy are veterans from the Second Armada, and the current headteacher is no exception. Alice Monaghan is an incredibly powerful magi who helped to bring an end to the war. Now, she must manage teachers who fought on opposing sides from each other.
The Mysterious Employers
It is not clear to outsiders of the academy who bestows the rank of headteacher, particularly as nearly every political organisation has a complaint. However, no one doubts Alice's authority, and it is not often challenged, though a teacher or two may be eyeing her job...History
Historically, most of the headteachers at the academy have been Taruan, and the academy was only recently made officially international. It was by no means a mono-culture however, as in the early periods of the academy's existence there were several different Taruan cultures, and young citizens living in Taru who discovered their magical ability would have been invited into the school, no matter their background.
The history of the academy can be investigated upon by players in the visual novel. Duncan's storyline is more likely to pick up lore information, which in turn may help solve the strange and mysterious mysteries.
