Atoza Izad
While Atoza grew up as a minor noble, she was far more interested in matters of the world than most of her peers. Her family was well known for breeding and training horses and she spent much of her youth on their ranches north of Solaris. Here, she learned both business, animal handling, and fighting.
While Atoza's brother Toau was more interested in the political life of Solaris, she stayed with running actual enterprises. Their parents hoped for a long while that Atoza would find a partner to settle down with, but she never had more than temporarily liaisons in her life. Her son, Farokh, was conceived without any other parents taking on a role in the child's life. It is said that Atoza had a very intense relationship with a woman who died in battle soon after the two had decided to get pregnant. If this is true, she never talked about it.
Moondaggers
When Atoza was 23, she had just negotiated a major deal that resulted in losses for some other noble families. As a result, mercenaries were hired to kill her. She foresaw the plot and defeated the entire group. Still, they managed to impress her in several ways and she offered her attackers the choice of either being arrested to working for her. The choice was easy and thus the Moondaggers of Izad were created. The mercenary company became the focus of most of Atoza's life, while leaving some room for friends and family. She was the business side of the enterprise, but she could sometimes be seen practising herself and she was said to be an accomplished swordsman.Social
Religious Views
In so far as she cared about the gods, Atoza made sure to be in good standing with the Onyx Knight and Mercantor. She also held some reverence for the Raven Queen and some claim that she sent some prayers in the direction of Shar.
