Instead of turning to the arms of lecherous bastards who’d drain us of our coin and self-worth, we must instead look for comfort in the companionship of our own brothers. If the government refuses to take action to save this country, then each and every one of us must do what’s right and work in tandem for a better future. Act as Héril had done with bold intentions and good heart so that perhaps either through the blessings of the gods or through our own determination, we shall have a voice loud enough to affect the state itself.— A follower of Héril
Héril, the Lord of
Teril, is the youngest child of
Palális and
Elíhilis, according to the
Pantheon of the Dawn. He came to being alongside his older twin,
Olícheril, and although their creation had been an accident, the two of them had proved their worth as the Lords of the Two Moons. Héril is known for his youthful brashness and adventurousness, as evident from one of his first major actions, the claiming of
Vol and Teril, the two moons that orbit Riel.
Master of the Great Moon
Those young rascals are at it again from the looks of it. Always sparring one another in that park over there. Damn fools are making such a racket. I can’t even enjoy my morning coffee in peace and quiet.— Aláuin Haladirín
No one knows for sure how the two Lords of the Moons came to be, as much of their origins remain shrouded in secrecy. What is known from the old tales is that Héril and his brother’s birth seemed to have been an accident of some sort. Their mothers were not prepared for their arrival and struggled to find roles for the two of them. The waiting had made Héril restless and so when his older twin went to their parents to offer his suggestions, Héril had instead travelled to Vol and Teril to claim them as his own.
God of Youth and Courage
Prior to his bold move, the ownership of the satellites had remained in dispute, as Palális and Elíhilis hadn’t come to an agreement on which of them should claim dominion over the two. Héril’s decisive move had put an end to the debate and his parents, although displeased at first, acknowledged his rule over the moons. Olícheril had succeeded in his negotiations at around the same time, earning him the responsibility over time and the aging of mortals.
The two brothers quickly came to a mutually beneficial agreement in which Héril relinquished his claim on the smaller of the two moons, Vol, giving it to his brother. In return, Olícheril and the rest of his family agreed to proclaim Héril as the god of the youth and bravery. From that day on, Héril swore to honour his family and to avoid such bold moves against them.

Cult of Héril
Those who choose to follow Héril are usually young men who seek to better themselves and compete in either sports, academics, or their professions. Young women with like-minded goals certainly do exist among their ranks as well, but when most people think of a Héril follower, they envision a young lad filled with a relentless drive to pursue their goals.
Communities of Héril worshippers often help one another in their goals of bettering themselves by either teaching those younger and less knowledgeable than themselves, or by training together in sports or martial arts.
Yeah, I can kind of see why the young men like to follow him. He's got a certain spark to him.
