Syndra's Runes
The runes used by a Rune Mage are particular, taking from their known languages to make a language of stolen characters for their language of spell casting. A rune representing a single letter in Elvish script may be used by multiple rune mages for different spells. Because of this, it is nearly impossible to translate the mess of runes inscribed on a rune mage's reference object. The secrets of the spells are hidden in the meanings of the runes to the user, not in the meanings of the runes themselves.
Syndra Amakiir is no different. Her reference object is a twisting mass of various runes etched into the soft metal of a bangle gifted to her by her teacher. Syndra studies various languages and spreads her knowledge, hoping to use her grand expertise to learn more spells than even Naya Ylyndar, the Enchantress of Yllvalion.
