You are cordially invited to a once-in-a-lifetime event of fantastical proportions. The Kingdom of the Fairies thrives on celebration, and so one such celebration has arrived. Please plan to arrive in Silverleaf no later than the 3rd of Summer’s Morning for the festival to begin within a fortnight.
The Idyllic Sagas historically have honored those of the lesser fey who have ascended to the position of the Ancients, claiming the throne and the kingship for their own. Never has a mortal of such heritage and character graced our leadership, allowing for a momentous occasion to occur within our generation.
The timeline of events is as follows:
- 3 Summer’s Morning - Arrival of Guests
- 15 Summer’s Morning - Opening Ceremonies
- 17 Summer’s Morning - Coronation
- 23 Summer’s Morning - Closing Ceremonies
- 29 Summer’s Morning - Final Departure of Guests
It is recommended that guests attend all events as completely as possible. The reign of Fairies is long, and it is unknown when the next such occasion will occur.

Viscount of Flowers, Ayre Trisnan
An event that has not happened in centuries, the Idyllic Sagas is the coronation of the monarch of the
Fairy Kingdom, often occurring towards the beginning of summer when the forest flourishes most. Throughout history, this event has occurred at different times throughout the year, but the early summer months have most often allowed for the ostentatious ceremonies and festivities that the
Fairies are best known for.
Celebrations
The celebrations during the Idyllic Sagas are meant to be multi-day, with a variety of events and layers that make the event a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all who attend. Not only do the celebrations pay homage to the traditions and ancestry of the
Fairies, but they are meant to showcase the best the
Fairy Kingdom has to offer, showing off for those who may have traveled for the event.
Music
Music is at the heart of nearly everything the
Fairies do, making this a very important part of their coronations. With the traditions established under
Festival Snix, the incoming monarch is meant to compose a song or melody that becomes one of the focal points of the event. This composition would eventually be minted onto the new
Ages that would go into circulation after the coronation.
Other music would be composed or arranged specifically for different parts of the celebrations, from the coronation itself to the opening and closing ceremonies. The
Royal Orchestra of Defined Fey plays nearly continuously throughout the festivities with accompaniment from others when needed.
Food
While the
Fairy Kingdom is not necessarily known for its culinary pursuits, no expense is spared for the coronation. As part of the Idyllic Sagas, exotic and well-known food is brought in from the various kingdoms around the world, along with chefs of renown. It is common to see food from the
Elven Kingdom,
Human Empire, and
Coastland, as well as more exotic items from the
Southern Continent.
Various dinners and meals are held throughout
Silverleaf for dignitaries from other places, but taverns and other meal houses throughout the city take part and make their best for residents and travelers alike. Those not in
Silverleaf can often stop by their local tavern or eatery and taste delicacies made specifically for the coronation.
Festivals
The true tradition of the Idyllic Sagas is the rampant festivals that last nearly a month across all of the
Fairy Kingdom. While festivals in
Silverleaf have commonly been part of the coronation, it wasn’t until the coronation of
Festival Snix that festivals across the kingdom became part of the coronation traditions. Music, food, and all manner of celebration are constant everywhere and meant to be enjoyed by everyone.
This is the one tradition of the Idyllic Sagas that has defined the reign of
Festival Snix. The month-long celebration that began his reign has continued as smaller festivals held monthly for various holidays and reasons. This has continued through the millennia of Snix’s reign with no plans of stopping or changing at any point.
Love it. <3
