Some metals gain their names for their properties, shining colors, and abilities that define these metals so fully, giving them names of honor and whimsy. Other metals are disgraced by their names, untrue ideas defining them with nefarious purposes instead of the true capabilities of these useful items. People define names by what they say and assume instead of always seeing the truth or the reality before misnomering something that could of immeasurable use.
Criminal Metals are those that have been the most tied with nefarious natures and the blackest sides of society, but this is not necessarily the truth. While the metals rot away anything they touch, Assassins and others use items made of criminal metals to complete their nasty tasks. These metals are still used in fighting creatures that dare tread in the light.
