MC catches the attention of an Eldritch being...

World

A few Eldritch beings have managed to get a foothold on Earth. Since then, each have carved their own territory where they demand to be appeased and worshipped. This has formed new countries whose borders are independent from culture and history, and each country "ruled" by an Eldritch being.
Eldritch beings tend to stay away from each other, but they still occasionally quarrel when they get bored.

Characters

MC

MC was exposed to an Eldritch essence as a child and survived. This has let her senses to develop and become attuned to anything unnatural. While she is not unique in this situation, this still mark her as different and interesting in the eyes of the Eldritch beings.
She is a scientist that is studying human biology and tries to live her life away from anything Eldritch.

The Eldrtich being

An ancient being controlling the country where MC lives. He is very bored and a bit more focused on his humans than other Eldritch beings. Because of this, he is on focusing on quality over quantity for his humans and is inciting them to become scientists and artists and to bring back prestige to him.
One day he comes upon MC and since she stands out slightly from the people around her and he has nothing better to do, he decides to have fun messing with her.
