The Great, but tiny, Turtolini

From the day I hatched, I knew I was destined for greatness. I am not only strong and brave, but my intelligence and ingenuity make me an unstoppable force. I haven't lived long but my adventures are many. It all began when I adopted this dragonborn named Moonlight. She cooks the best food and can change into lots of adorable creatures. She is not half bad as a sidekick and we always succeed in our quests with me in charge.

One time, after we left our gigantic castle in Asafoetida to explore the world, we found ourselves in the teeny village of Margay. We quickly became heroes after helping them with a bad case of harpies and a mudslide that was so intimidated by me that it vanished into thin air. After a glorious nights sleep, we were awoken by the horrendous sound of Englebertha crying about her "sweet snuggle-muffin" missing. I had no idea what a snuggle-muffin was but she said it was sweet and I do like baked goods so I of course quickly ran out to find this snuggle-muffin. Moonlight felt the need to bring along some "new friends" she found in Margay. Not sure why when she has me, but it seems to make her happy. Sometimes I wonder if she thinks I am the pet in this relationship but, then I realize how ridiculous that is. As we searched Margay, I quickly realized villagers had gone missing. This was no longer a case of stolen muffins, this was a case of stolen people! When we went to visit the local temple this odd creature they called Ilayda told us she had these crazy dreams about greed, dragons and Margay being swallowed. I personally thought she should lay off the apple ale, however Moonlight seemed to take her dream as some sort of omen. After running around looking like utter buffoons, someone finally decided to do what I wanted to do in the first place, and check out the "abandoned potion shop." These places are never abandoned, but sometimes it is like no one can hear me when I speak. Anyway, I used my cunning to sneak inside. Unfortunately, a Strawberry made the guard inside mad and he attacked the party. I made quick work of the guard while Moonlight stumbled upon a lever that opened a back wall.

Inside the hidden passage, I quickly realized the walls were covered in five headed dragons and the floors had an odd sheen to them. I told the rest of the party but once again they ignored me. As we traveled through the corridors searching for clues and the missing villagers I had to save the others several times. One almost released scalding hot water on themselves but I purposefully knocked over a skeleton (I did not trip) and saved them from terrible burns. In the inner most sanctum, we came across a giant square of lime gelatin that could move on its own. It looked delicious, but even I thought it seemed unsanitary. With my amazing coaching, Moonlight was able to dispatch the gelatin and turn it into a puddle. I, of course, allowed someone else to carry the key we found in the puddle so they could feel helpful, not because it was too big for me to carry. I led us to the back rooms where some very evil, ugly, and smelly cultists were waiting for us. If they had realized who they were facing; I am sure they would have fled. Instead, we had to show them my true power and send them back to their maker! We found the villagers in a holding cell and once again I saved the day. I allowed everyone to share in the glory back at The Tiny Cat where we celebrated once again. We never found any muffins, but I didn't mind. It is nice to know that once again Turtolini saved the day!

Author's Notes

Sometimes, I feel like our pets think we are the pets or they are the main characters. I imagine Turtolini having visions of grandeur and the smaller she is the bigger her dreams. I also love that the main characters have zero idea that this little turtle is giving themself all the credit.
