A stash of viridescenite

The Oglana Vault is one of the older buildings in the city of Oglana, constructed to contain the Ikaspi merfolk's precious supply of viridescenite. Like other Ikaspi architecture, it is built magically out of a mixture of rock and polar coral.
The Vault contains the only stash of raw viridescenite belonging to the Ikaspi, a stash which has dwindled since it became forbidden to mine it from the sacred Viridian Hollows. The fact that the supply has not run out yet has led some people to suspect that someone may be purchasing mined viridescenite from their neighbours, the Aestra, and smuggling it into the Vault. If true, this would be the highest form of blasphemy, as viridescenite. As of yet, these claims have not been investigated too closely.
