The Waimana Keepers Species in Ethnis | World Anvil

The Waimana Keepers

"The Waimana Keepers used to roam this valley proud and unrestrained. Awesome predators that could take quarry in every biome we know. A Sazakraht in itself is already powerful, but with their higher intelligence, mesmer abilities, and unmatched mobility, they were more than a species, they were a force that kept all others in check."

"No one has seen them since the The Cutting of Ark, and no one has found anything about where they might have gone. We still wear them proud as our emblem, hoping that we can maintain the balance as they did."

The Waimana creatures are a subspecies of Sazakraht native to the planet of Valoo. Little is known about they came to be, or what abilities they wield. These Sazakraht haven't been seen in nearly a century, leading most to believe that they may have been wiped out. One thing that is known, is they were the ultimate force in the Waimana Valley during their reign, maintaing ecological balance and harmony in the terraformation areas.

Even in their absence, the Waimana Keepers serve as an icon to the people of Kainga, who seek to help the valley maintain its beauty and balance against the corrupting force of the Hydra.

Rumored Adaptations

Flexible

The Waimana Keepers had smaller builds than a normal Sazakraht. Lighter musculature and ultra-strong ligaments allowed them to jump and traverse extremely quickly and fit into narrow spaces that would entrap other Sazakraht.

Mesmerizing

The Keepers are rumored to hold some sort of mesmerizing ability that it can use to hypnotize and entice potential prey. This is a rumor, and no one has actually seen record of this occuring.

Intelligent

Perhaps the most important adaptation was the uplift in intelligence this subspecies received through genetic therapy. While no one knows how intelligent these beasts are, they were capable of basic linguistics.

I love them. Also I wouldn't want to get on their bad side. Or their hungry side.

Actually terrifying. I am very curious if the mesmer abilities are real or not.

Giving a super predator the ability to hypnotize? Nothing could go wrong!
