Marshall Lino're's Vigilante Marque

We both know that the Syndicate is moving a prototype right around the corner. Tried hiding it plain sight on a normal cargo line. I'm writing this to make you an offer. It's a dangerous offer, it must be done clean, and it must remain between us.

— Marshall Lino're's Marque Letter

Informed

Marshall Lino're is a well educated gentleman, and effective at his job. So when he gathered enough evidence of a Syndicate vessel, known as the SWV Resolute Roar, moving prototype weaponry, he jumped on the opportunity. Not only would a haul like that give him a boost in his status, but would also net him a good chunk of his planet to settle on.

One big problem, he could not attack Syndicate ships, he had no navy to do such, and even if he did, attacking cargo vessels tends to get other Banners to leverage tariffs at best, and embargos at worst.

Planned

While we can not bring to bear the full might of the Pact, we can use our ingenuity in it's stead. We have a window to pull this off, make a name for ourselves, and leave our adversaries pointing the blame at eachother. With your expertise, it can be done.

— Marshall Lino're's Marque Letter

He considered his ways for taking an enemy vessel without firing a shot, and settled of sabotague and using the Resolute Roar's travel plan against it. He plotted the vessel traveling through Federation space. His plan was to infiltrate the ship with select agents, force an evacuation, and plant a clean-up species to eliminate any stragglers. He could take the ship as salvage, The Federation would take the blame for the loss, and he would be the rightful owner of a new prototype weapon.

The document he wrote up was known as the Vigilante Marque, and was sent only to those who were to be directly involved in the plot. It asked for their absolute secrecy in trade for a plot of land in his estate.

Executed

If you are ready to begin the plan, come to my estate. We will start the moment you arrive.
— Marshall Lino're's Marque Letter

The document was accepted, and the plan was executed. Within two weeks of being orchestrated, their Tingra were set to be picked up by the Resolute Roar. The Marshall's agents had been hired and planted aboard the crew.

In a night of chaos, the captain and first mate were killed, and an evacuation was ordered. All hands on board fled the ship in escape pods. Shortly after, the Tingra box opened, allowing the lethal pack predators to prowl the ship.

Threatened

A single survivor managed to send out an SoS, which had been picked up by a Jhoutigari Wayhall Patrol, who despite orders to avoid the ship, went aboard for a search and rescue.

I like the sneakiness and underhanded way Marshall Lino're was trying to elevate his status. I also really like your clean-up crew!!!
