Thoux and Nima
And into battle did They send Their children. Azariel's time on Ereb neared its end, and They had instilled within Their children honour and strength. To them, Azariel had entrusted the sword and shield with which They had defended Thierrin and the land He had blessed. No longer would Thoux and Nima change. The essence of stars suffusing their forms was now static, now harder than any steel.Thoux and Nima once belonged to the Star Azariel. In Their hands, these tools were mutable. They could shift into any tool of war with a thought from Azariel. Azariel left them to Their children when They departed. In stabilising the magic of these items so they would remain without Their presence, Azariel stabilised their forms.
Thoux
The longsword Thoux has a crystalline blade like clear glass. Its crossguard and pommel are wrought of Azariel's empyrean home. This sword is held by the Azaillais Priest General, who presides over the two Azarine orders. Thoux has not been used in any battle beyond ritual for centuries. Thoux is considered a symbol of strength, honesty and victory.Nima
Nima takes the form of a kite shield, its face wrought of obsidian. Rising from this glassy black is the Cetoilais star. The shield is rimmed with the same golden-hued metal that the star is cast in. This shield is held by the incumbent Duc d'Azaille. Nima symbolises the ducal responsibility of protection, not only of the duchy, but of the country at large, Etoilline belief, and the crown.5e Rules
