Description

You reach out and touch a creature, infusing them with healing energy.

 

Since most Undead are powered by negative energy, this spell deals damage to them instead of curing their wounds. Against an Undead enemy, you make a melee spell attack roll instead of just touching them.

 
Effects

A creature you touch regains a number of hit points equal to 1d10 ↗⤴ + 2 x your spellcasting attribute, unless it is [Undead](article:ca4937e8-fbfa-4ebb-88a7-55f5dc4e74da).

 

Against creatures with the undead trait, if they are hit with the attack take damage and must pass a Fortitude Save. If they Fail, they gain the Stunned until the start of their next turn.

 

As an example: A spellcaster with a +4 Spellcasting Attribute that rolls a 5 on the dice will heal for 5+8, or 13 total.

Failure: Undead creatures are stunned for 1 round.
Critical Failure: Undead creatures are stunned for 1d4 +1 rounds.

Success: Creature takes half damage.
Critical Success: Creature takes no damage.
 

Augmentation + other notes

↗/Augmented by Level: This spell’s healing/damage increases by 1d10 at certain Character levels. When you reach Character Level 5, it deals 2d10 , 3d10 at level 11, and 4d10 at level 17.

 

⤴/Augment Up: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, increase the healing/damage by 1d10 for each slot level above the 1st.

True Name⚙️: If cast backwards, this spell becomes Inflict Wounds.
