Ability Description |
You push through a Magical ability specifically targeting you.
When you are the target of a magical ability (either through being caught in the area or specifically targeted), you may spend a number of Hit Dice and/or Resource points equal to twice the magical ability's cost OR equal to the magical ability's TL; whichever is available. Hit dice count as 2 points.
If you match the ability 2:1, the magical ability fails to affect you. As an example, ignoring the effects and damage of a Fireball requires 6. This does not counter or negate the ability.
If you have the Counterspell you may use your Spellcraft instead of spending resources. You make this check vs the Spell's DC, the result of the magical ability's attack roll (if applicable), or the TL of the feature + 15 (whichever is higher). On success, the spell fails to affect you. On Critical Success, the spell fails against every target involved.
This spell can only be used once per Swift Rest.
