Curse of Ard'Vanwa
The Curse of Ard'Vanwa was discovered by Eldon Fleetfoot, while in a party, on their way to the Caverns of Quasqueton
The event was described excitedly as "Jarring" as Eldon apparently was walking a brisk pace, and suddenly without warning slammed his face into the guildhall front door!
He indicates he felt nothing and sensed no change between the realms, but did feet quite nauseous after. He should be good to go and is excited for the next trip!
That just goes to show... that no matter where you in the multiverse...
Home is just around the corner...
Transmission & Vectors
The only known transmission is interactions with the realm. There is no known reason, but many theories as to why objects and people are displaced in the first place, but until we find out more, our knowledge is limited.
Causes
There's no known initial cause of the curse. displaced people seem to be random and have no order in which they arrive. We offer sanctuary at Terris Berg, but others have tried to make it on their own in the wilderness. We are unsure if they surived.
Symptoms
Based on 300 years of research, no real results have come to light... The only known symptom is to become displaced. Then it's too late.
Treatment
There is no known treatment.
Prognosis
The only way to know is if you become displaced.
Sequela
Affected Groups
Everyone and everything is affected, there is no pattern as to who will be pulled here.
Hosts & Carriers
[/aloud]
What's truely frightinging, is that anyone who leaves... and gets pulled back again, brings back whatever they're touching. I'm not sure what the mechanics are, but we've had people bring in entire bookshelves as well as beds, tables, and once there was an entire icebox!
What this means, is that if you are beyond the portal into the other realms, be mindful of who and what you are touching at all times. The Explorer's Guild has discretionary funds to smooth over most accidents... but understand we do not take kindly to outright theft from a client.
If any Explorer should you use their curse to rob a client and teleport away... you will be fined thrice the amount stolen, and loose that much Exp as well.

Prevention
The only way to protect someone from the curse is to prevent them access to Ard'Vanwa. Should the realm randomly snatch someone, there's nothing they can do. The only way to prevent contamination is to never visit the realm.
It is imperative, that adventurers exorcise EXTREME caution when deciding whom to bring back to our city... because once they're here... they're here.
Should any Explorer wish to secure his wealth in a particular realm, ensure you have a location to store your extra gear and loot. The Explorer's Guild will handle exchanges to Ard'Vanwa, but should any material enter that realm, it will be unusable to anyone but terrisbergians.
Epidemiology
No one knows how this realm was created, or the dimensions of its lands. The realm is constantly pulling in material and the Tarrasque is constantly eating it.
History
Due to the nature of the realm, any research into this curse is limited. We have no documentation, no access to any records, nor are we able to leave beyond the forest without high-level magic to teleport us back!
Cultural Reception
Displacement is something whispered about throughout all the realms. Everyone spoken to can recount myths and legends about people and things vanishing.
Most think they are simply fairy tails or stories to scare children, but those who find themselves in the woods know the truth.
Nobody has known to escape the realm, so it's unsure if anyone even knows of it's existence, let alone is working on trying to rescure it's inhabitants.
Our first contact into Mystara has been going slow, now that Caverns of Quasqueton is secured, we should be able to research this further.
