Customizing Armor

You can commission custom armor, but at a significant cost of both time and notes. The tables below provide the information for building custom armor. Every column is an element that can be improved, including the Quality column. An armor's values all begin at its 'base' value (the peasant row), which you must pay for, and you must pay the armor's improvement cost each time you move down a row for that element. For example, to advance from the Light Armor's Armor Bonus of 0 to a bonus of 3, you must pay the improvement cost at each row, beginning with Peasant and advancing to Elegant, totaling 20n.

Each armor tier also has an Improvement Time value, which defines how much time is required to perform each armor improvement. Multiply this by the number of improvements purchased to ascertain how much time will be required to complete the armor. Like other improvements, you can pay to change the improvement time, advancing a row with each payment.

There is also an effects table where you may pay to add special effects to your armor.

Even if you are paying to improve/customize existing armor, you cannot improve the armor beyond what is allotted in these tables and you must pay the cost to reach the desired row for that feature. For example, if you are improving Medium Armor with an Armor Rating of 5 and want to boost that Armor Rating to 6, you must pay for the Peasant, Military, and Military (2) rows before paying for the Elegant row, totaling 48 notes to advance the armor from 5 to 6.
