Sun A0456

The sun? Well...I haven't really thought about it that much.
Merrin
The A0456 sun is the star at the center of the A0456 Solar System. It is the largest body in the solar system, taking up about 99% of the total mass.   Despite its colossal size, the Sun is just one of billions of stars in the galaxy. Its position within the galaxy, about two-thirds of the way from the center to the edge, places it in a relatively calm region, away from the more chaotic environments found closer to the galactic core.   The sun is a glowing sphere consisting mostly of hydrogen and helium. It is a staggering 4.6 billion years old, with enough mass to exert gravitational influence over all the planets, moons, and celestial bodies that orbit it.   The habitable zone around this star inhabits 3 planets. Kasoun, Areu and Rant. The population on all three planets have had many cultural perceptions of the sun that still colors their opinion on the star today.

Cultural perceptions

Kasoun

This planet have many sapient species. A couple of the species live underground. The Talippi, have two major ethnicities.   For the Rascabre the sun is little more than a distant memory. The inhabitants live in underground cities, sheltered from the harsh rays of the sun above. They believe that exposure to sunlight is fatal, causing madness and death. Instead, they worship the moons and stars as benevolent guardians of the night, guiding their way through the darkness.   The Scalotus revere the sun as the symbol of hope and salvation. They tell stories of a time when their ancestors lived on the surface and basked in the warmth of the sun's rays. Rituals and ceremonies are held deep within the planet to honor the memory of the sun and seek its guidance in times of darkness.

Areu

Before the Destruction of Areu and the people disappeared they had recorded their views on the sun in the library now kept by the inhabitants of The Station.   Among the Cuvese who later became the major inhabitants of The Station the sun was revered as the ultimate expression of precision and order. Its daily movements were meticulously charted and measured by astronomers and engineers, who used celestial observations to calibrate their intricate magical machines. The sun's energy was harnessed to power their country's machines and illuminate its streets.   Among the Sannret, the sun was associated with tyranny and oppression. The ruling elite, known as the "Sunlings", harnessed the power of sunlight to control the populace, using solar magic to enforce their will and punish dissenters. The common people lived in fear of the sun's wrath, forced to toil under its oppressive gaze while the Sunlings lived in their palaces of light. This culture was destroyed from within many years before the planet of Areu was destroyed but it still left an impact on many other cultures that found their way to The Station.

Rant

The sapient species of Rant have a higher enjoyment rating of the Sun than the other two planets.   The Setthoni view the sun as a symbol of enlightenment and spiritual awakening. They believe that the sun's light illuminates the path to inner peace and wisdom, guiding them on their journey toward enlightenment. Sunrise and sunset meditation sessions are held to commune with the sun and seek its blessings. Their God is the avatar of the Sun while their Godess is the avatar of their planet.   The Saquron see the sun as a guiding light on their journeys across the vast wilderness. They believe that the sun's movements across the sky dictate the rhythms of nature and the cycles of life and death. They celebrate each day with a meal of thanks during the midday.
