Bathhouses

Oh! They are nice. I wish I had the time to go every day. But as it is now I only have the time to go once a week.

A bathhouse is a building in The Station were people bathe. The houses exist both to become clean and to socialize with other people in a relaxed setting. This is a new addition to The Station as the original creators of The Station, the Kaose hadn’t created any.
All apartments on The Station have showers but very few, only the really fancy ones, have bathtubs.

History

When the Dragons welcomed other species into The Station they had to accommodate them. The Merfolk wanted bathtubs so the Dragons set about building bathhouses.

The government

The bathhouses are government run and visits to the bathhouses are paid for with tax money. All citizens of The Station can enter and use the bathhouses with their IDs. All visitors to The Station have to pay for a bathhouse visit if they want one during their stay. Which they usually do as the bathhouses have become tourist attractions. The tickets are relatively cheap depending on the specific bathhouse and the ticket usually last for a day.

The bathhouses

Some of the bathhouses are relatively large and houses relaxing saunas, hot baths as well as bubble pools, deep pools, some water slides and long pools for exercise. But most bathhouses only have bubble pools, long pools or hot baths.
The bathhouses can usually be found to the sides of the sections at any level of them. The section with most bathhouses is Monochrome.
In the saunas and hot baths people are expected to bathe naked. These bathing rooms are usually split up according to genders, but there are several that have mixed rooms or even those where you are expected to wear bathing clothes. Like in most other baths and pools.
It’s always possible to purchase towels and bathing clothes at the bathhouses.

Restaurants

If there isn’t a restaurant inside the bathhouse building there surely is one right outside the building as for many inhabitants it’s tradition to eat after a bath. Usually some kind of a soup together with creamy ice cream or a hotcake with fruits and ice cream.
