The Grand Prospector

The Grand Prospector is the leader of The Bright Miners guild and leads them to their continued success across the Tentotta region. The current holder of the title, R. J. Mason, wishes to expand beyond the Larthteras mountains to the north of The Great Tentottan Desert and into the rich Moluran rainforests in the hope of discovering new materials and rare minerals. The Grand Prospector oversees all activities within the guild and delegates tasks to the other high ranking guild members. It is this person's responsibility to keep the guild growing, happy and in good favour with local settlements as they acquire new mines and business opportunities.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of the mining industry, business studies and work ethics.

Appointment

Must either be a direct descendant of the current Grand Prospector or have recommendations from a Prospector, Bore or Burrows.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Grand Prospector can be dismissed if the guild plummets into dispair or loses favour with a settlement. It would take a big mistake to unseat the grand prospector and this has not occurred yet in the history of The Bright Miners guild.

History

The Bright Miners guild was established in the second age, 432. Since then it has grown tremendously in size and has recently celebrated it's 100 year anniversary.
