Lichen Spider

Huge rabbit-eating spiders that are incredibly well camouflaged.

Lichen spiders are one of the largest known species of spiders in Anvil and survive in rocky climates. They have excellent camouflage and blend in well with their surroundings thanks to their textured backs resembling lichen from their local environment.
They are ambush predators and wait patiently for small creatures to come nearby. They are known for bringing down small birds and even rabbits using their highly venomous bites.
Many folks are terrified of them due to their sheer size and also that they have a habit of "chasing" travellers.
