Zither of truth

On my travels I learnt of a wondrous myth: a sentient musical instrument in the form of a zither - which when played a certain way will "speak" answers to questions you sing to it. Apparently only the musician could hear the truth, even if they had an audience surrounding them, and they had to sing their questions with careful lyrics so as to not raise suspicion to anyone listening.
