Valcoran Family (vælkɔræn)

Brief History
The Valcoran family was not always powerful. They were one of the first dragon riders but had bad luck with the laying of eggs. Only in the last fifty years has their star been in the ascension. Who knows what will follow but their family words will hold true. As it was stated the Valcorans were not always powerful but they did make some fortuitous decisions and alliances in order to garner wealth just never the dragon power they have now. Establishing three outposts that became pivotal in the control of goods, extra precious metals and trade was their boon. Oros, Tyria and Volantis are the main outposts that are controlled directly by the Valcoran family. They have always thought of themselves as gods among men much as all the Dragon lords. Though they have become increasingly more hedonistic as the centuries passed. This has caused no end of friction with the other families but mainly their blood feuds are with the Calareon and Vibius families. As they have grown powerful the families that enjoy their patronage are not the largest nor most powerful of their like. This can cause a weakness in the council and in the influence wielded by the Valcoran family.Dragons Under the Yoke
