Trench Wars is the #1 watched extreme sport in gnome society, with a passionate following of over 500,000,000 viewers. This near-fanatical following has generated some of the greatest wealth within Clockworks City.
The game revolves around S.L.A.G. pilots (strong, lithe, armored, giants) engaging in combat with 40' robots. The special stadium was constructed to withstand not only hand to hand combat between the metal giants, but also the use of high caliber weapons, including explosives.
Trench Wars is split into trials and seasons.
The first gnome to win the title of champion in Trench Wars was Alhannah Luckyfeller.

Trench Wars was first mentioned in the book Prelude to a Hero.
