Talk to the young girl #84

Aggie is a pretty woman, full figured, lovely smile and golden blonde hair. A barmaid at The Three Swords—the main tavern in the tent city, she is the center of much attention. Catering to the three military forces stationed there, she had the opportunity to interact with many of the soldiers.
“Have you worked there for long?” you ask.
“Not really,” she says shyly. “Only a year. My uncle, Egerton, is the steward of the tavern and when my parents passed away, he vowed to watch over me and my little brother. Toby works in the stables, caring for the officers horses. Uncle wanted to keep a closer eye on me.” She blushes, “I had three proposals within the first week of our arrival—so he has me serve in the tavern with my cousins. Warns all the regulars that he’ll brand them with his cattle iron if they don’t keep their hands where they belong.”
Her face turns red with embarrassment as she speaks.
You chuckle, “Good for him.”
Aggie smiles, “He’s a good man. Hates to have any of us girls work in the tavern. But, he says, the gods didn’t give him boys, so he’ll watch over and protect his girls in the only environment he has control over until good men can be found.”
Valda bursts out laughing, “Have fun waiting.”
You notice, however, that Aggie’s eyes wander, if only for a moment…and rest most dotingly on the young Kutollum, Dagan.
Hmmmm, you think to yourself. “So how did you get mixed up in this?” you ask.
The barmaid flounders and flushes red again.
“Aggie?” you ask again, but she looks away.
Valda places a hand on her shoulder, “All you alright?”
“Y-yes….yes,” she reassures the Gypsy. “I just, well…it was so awfully traumatic, you see.”
You wink at Valda.
Both of you stare at Dagan, chatting quietly with Dorbane ahead of you.
