With that, Dagan looks up. You can tell he’s quite surprised at a compliment from his own father. You wonder, for just a moment, how often Deron expresses any affection for his son at all? Dorbane rarely shows actual affection, though you know his fondness for you and Valda is deeper than words can express.
Maybe it’s the way of the dwarves?
