Fey

The fey are whimsical creatures, in the same sense that a mass murderer can be whimsical. They are extraordinary, glamorous, and terrifying. Older fairy tales and legends often talk about creatures luring the unsuspecting to their death, to eat children who don't behave or kidnapping those who wander too far.   All of these stories might be true. Never believe that the fey are just cute pixies that water the flowers. They are dangerous and mischievous tricksters. There are good reasons why stories of them have been told to frighten children.   One way in which the Fey are alien is that they are too much. A fey with a hobby will likely make everything about that hobby with complete disregard for anyone else. Something as harmless as model trains turn into intricate rails built with the vertebrae and skulls of those who have travelled past. A fey creature who likes parties will have grandiose balls that no one can leave and no one can stop smiling and dancing at no matter how sad or exhausted they are. Doing something just a little isn't in their nature.   The fey are also raised to be selfish. Their own fun is more important than someone else's life. If anyone gets hurt during a prank they decided to pull, that doesn't really matter.

Beauty Ideals

Appearance matters. It is a reflection of one's self. A twisted and ugly creature isn't looked down upon - just thought of like a twisted person with ugly intentions. Which is perfectly valid for fey.
