Introduction

Welcome to Likeda! We are the community nearest the Abyss, so it's the best place to stop and shop for a tour guide. And the Majari Trekkers are the perfect choice for daring adventurers who want to climb the Guardians in search of Condi spirits and the peace viewing a vast landscape can bring.   Did I mention spirits? Yes I did! It's well-known that the ghosts of Kiune and Majari rest in the altars on the peaks of the Guardians.   Ah, you don't know what the Guardians are? Well, they're the two mountains that guard the Kordi Rini, which has carved a deep canyon between them. They're tall enough breathing is hard at the tops, and snow can fall any season of the year. It's atop these peaks that two Jonna Empire siojhetioxh dueled each other for Lajaka's favor.   Did they find it? No, they took one another out in an intense battle of magick might. And their aggravated spirits still rest atop the mountains, which gives them their names; Kiune for the eastern mount, Majari for the west.   Sometimes when they're in a vicious mood, they send unwary souls to the other's altar in hopes of destroying it, but most often, they're bored and will tell fortunes to alleviate their ennui. And we of the Majari Trekkers know the perfect sweet words to cajole them into fortunes rather than misfortune.

Oh, you're not interested in meeting scary spirits? Well, you're in luck, because we do more than guide the adventurous to the peaks!

Next Pitch

A ghost telling your fortune isn't the only experience you can have in the Abyss! And the Majari Trekkers can guide you through them all!   We know the ruins scattered across the Abyss like we know our own homes! From the Snowbound Temple to the Cracked Columns to the Fifth Wind's Abode, we can take you on a tour to either Majari or Kiune, visiting these once-sacred places for a modest fee. If you enjoy camping, we have a deluxe eight-day hike that hits all the major ruins on whichever mount you prefer.   How many ruins? Hundreds, but only twenty or so are on most visitor lists. And while temples are an attraction, so are the altars and shrines dedicated to sylfaodolon. Jhodi has several, but the most famous one is in a jatariki tree grove halfway up Majari. Our woodland deity is a popular sylf, and if one wishes blessings for a safe journey through the Abyss, this is a must-stop site.   And the Majari Trekkers know of a shortcut to get you there!

Oh, you'd rather kick-portal than walk? Well, here's the thing; magick doesn't work in Hekara's Abyss. Those two siojhetioxh I told you about? After their duel, Lajaka got so upset with them, he wielded an anti-magick spell. No one can work magick in the Abyss.   That's why you need a dedicated guide. We know the ins and outs of the hills and mountains and will keep you safe without the need for wieldings! And we also provide mounts, if you're so inclined.

Pitch 3

I know that's disappointing to hear you can't just whisk up and down the mountain in a morning, but the trek is worth it! If you're not interested in ruins and temples and shrines, perhaps a dip in the healing pools might spark your interest?   Both Kiune and Majari have heated springs and pools where you can rest your weary body and soak in the goodness of healing magick from the waters. Ancient healers beholden to Lajaka infused the natural waterways with healing energy, and this energy congregates in the waters of the Abyss. The Kordi even has it, but I wouldn't suggest dipping into those rapids.   No, visiting a nice, calm spring where the steam heats the cool air on a bright fortuitous morning is a not-to-miss experience. You can breathe in the luscious scent of wildflowers, the crisp grass, and the heady spice of evergreens. How can one not relax and take in the vast view of the Guardians, finding peace and serenity in the beauty surrounding you?

Sounds boring? Depends on the time of year! Celebrations aplenty happen at the springs and pools, with players and musicians providing entertainment and food sellers offering the most delicious breads and spiced meats and fish on skewers.

Last Pitch

We at Majari Trekkers will provide everything you need for a journey into the Abyss. Horses, noxyen, carriages, if you desire to ride rather than walk. We maintain cabins for luxurious camping experiences, and our guards will prevent the local wildlife from causing problems.

Oh, you want to meet Lajaka?

I see, I see.   It's a new world, isn't it, now that we know dragons exist and aren't just myth? We of the Majari Trekkers are working on contacting the mighty beast and setting up meetings with him and our clients.   As you might expect, this is not a simple task. In the past, dragonpriests managed the lair and visits. Nowadays, it's just Lajaka--and he's a busy dragon. But never fear! Majari Trekkers are as dogged as a dog, and we will set up exclusive--that's right, exclusive!--meetings that no other guide company can manage!   Picture it! With a guide from Majari Trekkers, you enter a long-forgotten foyer to the underground lair of Lajaka, Ice Dragon of Lassa. There you meet a dragon as large as a temple! Unintimidated, you sip tea with him while he answers your most important--   You don't think dragons sip tea? Why not? Dragons can do anything!   But that is a future guide trip. For now, let's see if we can't get you into an overnight stay at the Meadow Cabins, overlooking the beautious Purple Meadows where the purple-lit fireflies flit!
