Overview

Of the many things that Divide Man and Beast the SOUL is probably the most significant. For as was told in Onas' famous fable The Mothers and the Fathers:

Any beast or creature without a soul, even though it be a God, is a dangerous and needful creature.

It is thought the Soul may in fact, be the reason we were placed on this plane.

And the reason that finding out what that purpose is the only way a creature without a soul may gain one as was wrtten about in the Great Tome, A Dragon's Soul. Yes, there has been much speculation on the Nature of our Souls, and it is the exact reason why this scroll was commission by reseachers of The Great Library of Hob so the exact nature of sould may be discovered.

Historical Usage

The first written reference to the term "Soul" can be found in various references in The Book of Onas' Fables and it thought to be Onas' way of explaining

But it has been heard that a Scribe may soon finish the tale... the truth of the matter is - if you were not simply a Commoner and were registered profession on Mernac or any battle Class you would be able to read the Scribe's work in progress right now.
