The Great Library of Hob

The Center of all Knowledge

Overview

Dating back to the first few centuries after the Race of man was created, The Great Library of Hob stands tall and majestic in the middle of Mispoint, The historical capitol of the Kingdom of Hob and the Dark Elf Race. It is impossible to miss even if you are merely passing by the city. The building is 4 stories tall and each floor is as large as six large taverns laid end-to-end.   On entering the building, there will be nothing but silence only pierced by the occasional ruffling of papers, books, and parchments. The height of each floor is 6 standard paces. It is, of course, quite well known that most of the library is an expansive common area filled with research desks and Endless shelves of scrolls, books, and tomes on every conceivable subject.   What is lesser known is that there are several completely hidden chambers reserved for researchers to work on their project in private - as much “private” as “The One Order” will allow considering the priceless and potentially dangerous knowledge their guild controls.   Throughout the building, far below grade level, there are also catacombs under the building which many are not aware of. These magically sealed areas are usually used for treaties, meetings, and discussions concerning Hob or the continent of Cathall as a whole. Many ancient and contemporary peace treaties have been signed here which are often coveted by those with funds and power. However as attractive as those are to most the highest-value items in the library are...

Alas, the rest of this tale is...

Secret
But it has been heard that a Scribe may soon finish the tale... the truth of the matter is - if you were not simply a Commoner and were registered profession on Mernac or any battle Class you would be able to read the Scribe's work in progress right now.
It is here... just a little invisible to those who are not yet a patron to one of Mernac's guilds (join).
In some cases, the entire tale may not yet be written. In those cases, The Tale may be looking for a new Adventurer who Journals or Scribe to tell the tale. Could this be you?
