Accord Unique Identifier

The Accord Unique Identifier (AUI) is a digital document carried on the nanocomputer of all registered citizens of the accord. This unique identifier is using the highest encrypted key which serves as the digital fingerprint of each resident under the juristiction of the The United Stellar States Accord
The AUI is the key that unlocks all financial/taxation, medical and personal records of an individual. It's most commonly used in every day life to confirm transactions made in DUCs. The public part of this key is used to identify an individual across the dta network established by Apis and it is also able to unlock the genome data of an individual and modify them in the case of a genetic process (like joining one of the genetic lineages.
Although an AUI is not required, it is the only way for an individual to gain access to the most basic of resources on the Reach. It is because of this reason, even humans living in the Outer Rim very often would request Accord patrols to register them and upgrade the photonic memory banks of their nanocomputers or travel to the closed outpost with their newborn children to get an AUI for them.

Some common exceptions to this rule are the Priestesses and Vestal Virgins of the Cult of Helios who almost never leave London High and some of the indipendent nations that reject the Accord's authority.
