Fizzle
Food's free though, right? -FizzleFizzle's existence is one common to many of the Tengu from the Brisbane district of Ghal Pelor. As a member of the Nightwatch caste he was a simple laborer toiling away in the workhouses along the waters' edge of Lake Tairos. Most who knew him then wouldn't have claimed he was particularly intelligent then but working with the pungent oils and chemicals favored by the tengu craftsmen have further addled his brain. Exposure to cleaning chemicals proved only to be the beginning of his downward spiral. Rather than returning to Brisbane each night with his kin he would spend more and more time at the taverns and dockside drug dens with the city's other ne'er-do-wells. It's in these illicit hovels that Fizzle became a slave to alcohol and intoxicating herbs. Aurins were quickly spent on food, drink, or drugs, forcing Fizzle to accept just about any job to support his habit, including low-level jobs for Black Thorn Society goons. Word of his humiliating fall quickly reached the other Tengu in Brisbane who came to see him as a liability to their work and a danger to their secrets. He was quickly exiled from the tengu district and left to fend for himself in the greater city. Small time jobs would come and go, many of which were one-time affairs thanks to Fizzle's poor performance. All that was left to him was mercenary work and reluctantly he embraced it. His latest job was protecting a caravan sponsored by the Ackley Ales company. This seemingly simple job almost cost Fizzle his life at the hands of goblins in service to the The Swarm. Were it not for Bayor Sunslake, Fizzle would have been dispatched by the goblin leader Mizzixs during his attempted escape. Horik Hamfist (aka Wolftooth) was able to secure safer work for Fizzle and Wilkas at Daghilla's soon to open tavern, back in Ghal Pelor. A much needed source of steady employment that will keep Fizzle out of harm's way for as long the young dwarf is willing to tolerate him.
