God's Chosen
As a violent storm raged over a shallow valley, three adventurers, a general, cursed by his enemy; a prince, unable to remember his past; a deva, left adrift in the world, sought refuge within the entryway of a long-forgotten Tor. With their forging of a Storm Peace, their individual threads of fate were braided into a solitary cord. The very existence of the cosmos would eventually be bound by this cord, their destiny. Over time, more threads would be added, adding to its strength and this shared destiny would be given a moniker: The God’s Chosen.
The God’s Chosen became a collective of heroes from all corners of the world and beyond, all propelled towards unraveling the mystery of The Gaze and the figure behind it, Starfire. Their efforts would lead them to all corners of the land, into the endless Astral Sea, through the scorched plains of the Nine Hells, through the halls of Everlost, and to the very Halls of Creation. In the end, the Chosen used Starfire’s Gaze on the Tarrasque, sending it back beneath the earth, and then turned it on Iosphael, averting the destruction of the material plane.
A century later, their legacy lives on in a small settlement built over the very place where their fates were unknowingly brought together. New Haven, founded by one of their own, is now a place of hope. A place where refugees from the decades of chaos have made a home, and where they remember the Heroes who sacrificed so much to save the world.
