Anti-Frost

History

Anti-Frost was created in the 1940s by the Deepcore Foundation for the miners that live in the Arctic, Antarctic, and Siberian portions of the world, existing as a way to help people cope with low temperatures in the area. Over the next ten years, it would become a more accessible, over-the-counter drug for people to take whether they are needing to deal with certain illnesses or warm up in the winter-time.

A timeline, frozen over and destroyed...

Due to the proliferation of medicine that took place in the mid-50s to the beginning of the 60s during this time, Anti-Frost was commonly found throughout the world in thousands of drugstores, being sold by the bulk. After World War III occurred, Anti-Frost was a heavily sought-after remedy, which helped people with the worse effects of the cold. It didn't take long for people to begin using the medicine alongside RadNull to attempt to combat Acute Freezing Syndrome when they were rendered ill by it. While survival rates were low to begin with thanks to the sickness, they would increase a fair bit when the infected was given a steady dose of Anti-Frost and RadNull.

Usage

It's commonly used to help with people suffering from high temperatures. It's taken by pill, swallowed and then absorbed by the body as it passes through the stomach and into the liver, where it gets into the bloodstream. As the Anti-Frost goes through the bloodstream, it releases an agent that warms up the body, the full effects of it coming along as it reaches the brain. Some have reported using it as a good way to combat aches in the body, specifically those along the joints and in the head.

Side Effects

Those who have used Anti-Frost have reported occasionally falling into a dependency to the medicine. Alongside the increased tolerance to cold and the warm sensation that people have reported from taking it, the medicine has served as a good alternative for helping with the flu and the occasional headache.

Risks

Addiction to Anti-Frost has resulted in headaches and one's body temperature rising up too high, resulting in them falling ill. Alongside that, there have been some reported cases of people suffering from Incedinary Expulsion Overdose, which is a rather unfortunate condition that has resulted in embarrassment and pain for those who suffer from it.

I can see why people would maybe fall into over-dependency on the drug if it makes them feel warm. Being cold is the worst.
