The Iron Gates

The Iron Gates are two slabs of solid Dwarven Steel that protects the entrance to Kingdom of Dam Lodir. The gates do not rust and are resistant to all forms of magic, a result of the initial melting and forging of the steel, using dragon fires. The gates open and close with an elaborate mechanism that allows the massive iron slabs to be rotated on their hinges.

Purpose / Function

Originally, the gate served to protect the Dwarven Kingdom present in the Northern Amadels from attacks of invading orcs and goliaths. Since the collapse of the Deep Roads in 620 2E the gates serve as the only entrance into Dam Lodir.

Tourism

The gates are an active source of pilgrimage to stonemasons and smiths from all over the continent. Even some wizards come to just to view them, hoping to shed light on their creation and magic resistant properties.
