City Elf

City Elves, also known as Urban Elves, are a sub-race of elves that were affected by the urbanized environment of their upbringing. While most would fail to recognize an urban elf as such, to elves they are as foreign as any other race. Possessing a unique scent, lacking the ability to partake in a Reverie, and in essence an affront to traditions and values, urban elves enjoy the life cities have to offer, trading the ways of old for entertainment, brothels, and festivities.

Biological Traits

Acclimation to urban lives significantly changed city elves' biology; they barely ever live more than 300 years, a lifespan considered to be cut short by elfish standards; their reflexes are dulled relative to their cousins, though still easily surpassing those of humans and even half elves.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Due to the inherintly magical nature of elf blood, it was able to adapt urban elves to life in large cosmopolitical cities. They possess superior vision in dark and dim conditions, even rivaling their ancsetors'; while not as far sighted as them, their eyes evolved to discern color in darkness in remarkable detail, as if it were dimly lit.

Urban elves name themselves according to their elvish ancestry, though they tend to embellish their names over time with flattering adjectives.

Urban Elf Traits

Urban elf characters have some qualities in common with elves and some unique to them.
Age Urban elves physically mature at a slower rate than other elves do, and reach adulthood around the age of 35, though many see themselves as adults as early as 20. They live much shorter lives than other elves, however, rarely exceeding 300 years.
Chromoptics Thanks to your elf blood and its adaptation to life in large cosmopolitical cities, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 30 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can discern color in darkness.
Elf Ancestry You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Skill Versatility You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice.
Seen it all... You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened; you can use this advantage a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
