Szoroan of House D'Shauranti (a.k.a. Qobor, Blade Singer)

(sho-rhon' d'-shaoo-ahn'-tee) , is presumed to be a Davrin Elf born in the Red Desert during an era long past.

This speculation comes from shared experiences in Reverie as some characters seem to relive distant or mystical memories. The characters thus far include Auslan and Shyntre.

Spoiler for Book 4, "Surfacing"

Szoroan appears to be a Noble Desert Elf of House D'Shauranti. He is also a Blade Singer, an elite group of mage sword-casters of the Queen's Army. His only witnessed actions have been as the supportive sire of an independent male entertainer, Avel, at an outpost which is not V'Gedra. He lives with his son unclaimed by a Matron, and neither keep a regular or permanent female companion.

One night, the rising Valsharess and her entourage broke into Szoroan's home, preventing him or his son from escaping. The Valsharess herself grasped the Blade Singeer in brutal fashion, laying at his feet the accusation that he had stolen her son, Mazdel. With Avel watching, Szoroan spoke, calling the Queen "Ishuna" before he was killed by magic using her bare hands.
