Sapphire Channel

This article is depicting a potential future of this world. Some events in here might not have happened yet and will be changed by the actions of the players involved in this world. Until these campaigns have concluded, this article will exist in a superposition between existance and non-existance.   Some version of this article will survive, but who knows what it will be when all of this is over

The Sapphire Channel is an artificial canyon connecting the Yarcola to the Ferozabay. It was created in a devastating attack of the Everlasting Empire of the Dragon against Kendal during the Age of Arcanum. In an act of desperation, powerful magic was unleashed, carving a canyon from the Ferozabay, all the way up to the Yarcola, nearly destroying Kendal in the process.   The Sapphire Channel is only connected to the Yarcola by a big waterfall. This makes it impossible to directly transfer ships from the river to the channel. To still be able to transport wares on this route, Kendal built two big harbours, one at the river and the other at the channel. Wares get unloaded at one, transported through the city, and loaded onto a ship on the other. In a weird turn of fate, Kendal's worst day, became its best fortune.
