Ilvye of the Glass Shore

Ilvye is the oldest daughter of King Amaranth and Quenn Raen of the Glass Shore. Since she was born, she was the poster child to her parents. Magic always came easy to her, and until Nyaeve showed her magical ability, Ilvye was the sole contender to the throne of Anthinea.
Now it is unclear, if Ilvye or Nyaeve will win the throne in the end, as they both showed incredible talent for the Arcane Arts. A friendly but very competetive rivalry between the two sisters pushes both of them to refine and better their understanding of magic. At some point in the future, they will have to face each other in a Royal Challenge for the throne of Anthinea.

Personality

Ilvye is ambitious and competetive. She is determined to prove herself to her family and the people of Anthinea, both for her own sake and for the good of the country. She sees Nyaeve as a worthy rival, and is always striving to improve and outdo her, but never to a point of wanting to cause harm or undermine her sister. When push comes to shove, she will always have her families back.
From a very early age on, she had to train and learn on her path to be a challenger for the throne. This made her very disciplined and strategic. She has a strong work ethic and a willingness to put in the effort necessary to achive her goals. She has learned to not do rash decisions and always tries to think things through, but from time to time, her ambitions and passions still get the better of her.
